Full Session vs. Mini Session

We are quickly coming up on Fall. Iowa Fall. The most beautiful of the seasons in the midwest!

I wanted to take a minute to talk to you about a Mini Session vs a Full Session so you can decide what is the right one for your family!

Mini Sessions are simple enough, they are in fact “mini”. There will be a pre-determined location, in the fall we always try to find a place with beautiful leaves! The timeframe is shortened to 20-30 minutes in front of the camera. These sessions are perfect for families who have older kiddos. Families who want to stay a little more on a budget. Families who simply need that updated photograph but are low on time. Of course we are here to help you so we will be happy to give suggestions on clothing and other details!

Full Sessions are a little more involved than a mini. With a full family session we still want to walk through the whole process with you, just with a few more steps. We will start out talking about the walls in your house, where do you want to hang your family portraits? Above the couch? Up the hallway? In the entry? You will get JUST a tiny bit of homework and then Tracy will come up with some design options for those spaces.
From there we’ll talk clothing, groupings and locations!

For a full session you’ll get up to an hour in front of the camera. If we are in a location that we can easily move to a different spot, we will try to get a few different looks during your session!

Are you ready to update that family portrait? Let’s get started! Contact us today to start your process!
